Our client in West Houston is a fast-growing healthcare & medical device manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations, own the month-end close, and help scale finance processes. This role reports directly to the CFO, manages a team of three, and offers a clear path to Controller . The role is working a hybrid schedule remote on Friday. Salary up to $85-93K depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Own month-end close (target BD7) , financial reporting, and variance analysis
Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash management
Oversee AP, AR, payroll entries, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
Manage inventory accounting across four locations in NetSuite
Lead, review, and develop a 3-person accounting team
Drive process improvements, automation, SOP creation, and internal controls
Maintain weekly cash forecasting and liquidity planning
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- CPA REQUIRED
5–7+ years progressive accounting experience
Strong NetSuite experience (inventory/manufacturing strongly preferred)
Proven ownership of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
Advanced Excel skills
Hands-on leadership style with strong attention to detail
