Job Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides comprehensive evaluation and therapeutic services to patients across various settings to enhance communication and swallowing functions. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities to determine clinical needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans with measurable goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions across settings.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and self-care strategies.
• Document clinical encounters, treatment progress, and recommendations in accordance with policies.
• Participate in community outreach, training, and telehealth services as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Hold CCC-SLP certification and current Alaska state licensure.
• Demonstrate experience in pediatrics and outpatient therapy.
• Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
• Able to work effectively in high-pressure environments and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
