Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
$50 per hourTemporary
Kforce has a client in Pittsburgh, PA that is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products used in client's environment. This individual will partner closely with software developers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, identify risks early in the development lifecycle, and help deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional with experience in both manual and automated testing, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement within Agile development environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience will be considered
- 7+ years of software quality assurance, software testing, or validation experience
- Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect reports
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Experience testing APIs and web services using tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or related platforms
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and quality processes
- Familiarity with Linux environments and file systems
- Working knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks
- Proficiency with SQL and database validation techniques
