Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

These contract positions are open at both the elementary and secondary level, providing vital instruction to small caseloads (around 10 students each) within specialized settings.

Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher with a low-incidence license will empower you to make a meaningful difference in students’ daily lives. In-person engagement will be key, as you collaborate with fellow educators and families to foster student growth and success throughout the school year, from August 11, 2026, through May 19, 2027.

Key qualifications:

• Active low-incidence Special Education teaching license, presented at time of submission
• Experience working with students who have significant disabilities preferred
• Ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet complex, varied needs
• Dedication to in-person teaching (no virtual option)
• Positive, collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support for a low-incidence caseload (elementary or secondary)
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans, IEPs, and progress monitoring tools
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Advocate for and nurture each student’s unique strengths and growth goals
