Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, ongoing care to critically ill patients in the CCU, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, renal disease, and cardiac events.
- Monitor patient status with continuous telemetry, interpret rhythm strips, and respond to abnormal findings; tele test required on day 1.
- Administer prescribed medications, manage IVs and arterial lines, and assist with advanced therapies as needed (including CRRT when applicable).
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in code scenarios; document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, ensure patient safety, and deliver care that aligns with unit protocols and best practices.

Requirements
- 2+ years of recent MICU/ICU experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Telemetry test required on day 1
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Preferred: experience with radial arterial sticks, CRRT, CCRN certification, blood draws, and IV skills
