Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment - Greenville, SC

Sparta Networking is supporting a leading construction and heavy equipment company in hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment . This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can step in, troubleshoot efficiently, and keep critical equipment running safely and reliably in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines on construction equipment and vehicles
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate service records and complete repair documentation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards
• Manage and organize parts inventory as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Experience with heavy machinery, trucks, and fleet maintenance preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed

Work Environment

• Physically demanding role, including lifting up to 60 lbs
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, grease, and heavy machinery
• Use of PPE required at all times
