DATTCO has a full-time opening for Dispatchers in our Coach & Tour Division.

DATTCO was founded in 1924 and entered the motor coach charter business in 1964 with the New York World-s Fair. DATTCO is now New England-s largest private passenger transportation company. • 2nd shift - 3:00pm - 11:00pm, (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

• 3rd shift - 11:00pm - 07:00am, (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)

• Split Shift (2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday, 2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm Tuesday, 3rd shift 11:00pm - 7:00am Wednesday, 3rd shift 11:00pm - 7:00am Thursday, 1st shift 7:00am - 3:00pm Sunday)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with supervisors to ensure on-time departure of all vehicles

• Check-in drivers as they report to work including reviewing uniforms and providing work tickets

• Providing information regarding Coach & Tour Division operations to customers and other staff

• Utilizing GPS and dispatching software to monitor operations of routes for accuracy

• Working with drivers and other staff to address service issues/failures in a timely manner

• Review driver itineraries for accuracy and address driver questions/concerns promptly

Minimum Requirements:

• Open availability to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.

• 2+ years dispatching experience

• High school degree or equivalent

• Bus operations experience preferred

• Well-developed planning and organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Detail oriented and customer focused

• Proactive mentality towards problem solving

• Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening

• Adaptability to different personality types

• Ability to work with computer systems and follow specific business rules for data entry

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel and Outlook)

• Ability to use internet or other tools to research trip and destination information

• Ability to adapt to changing requirements at a moment-s notice

• Must be able to work in a team environment

• ATTENTION: This is a safety sensitive position as determined by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and requires inclusion in a random drug testing pool which determines the usage of prohibited substances, including recreational marijuana.
