In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives on selected domains Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives Mentor less experienced software engineers Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers Lead team to achieve objectives Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c+), including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery (RMAN), and patching within the financial services industry Strong expertise in Oracle architecture and core technologies (RAC, Data Guard, ASM), along with advanced SQL/PLSQL and troubleshooting in high-availability production environments Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting Oracle environments within financial services, particularly Core Banking platforms (e.g., FLEXCUBE, Finacle, T24) Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle deployments (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle, or Azure) and migration strategies Knowledge of database security best practices, encryption, auditing, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, PCI, FFIEC) Experience with automation/scripting (Shell, Python, or Ansible) for database provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools (OEM, SolarWinds, Splunk) and performance optimization in large-scale, mission-critical systems Job Expectations: This position requires a hybrid in office work schedule Job Location: 194 Wood Avenue South - Iselin, New Jersey 08830 3075 Loyalty Cir - Columbus, Ohio 43219 Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
