Your contribution will make a difference in inclusive classroom settings, providing critical support for students with multiple disabilities in either functional or behavioral support classes. Assignments will be matched with your experience and district needs, with school locations determined at the point of placement—your preference may be considered.

This contract position runs through June 2027 and offers up to 35 hours weekly on a consistent school-day schedule. If you have at least one year working as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in a special education classroom, and you’re ready to thrive in a dynamic team environment, you may be a great fit.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of direct experience in a school/paraprofessional/special education setting
• Meet one of these PA State requirements: 48+ college credits, associate degree or higher, or pass a state/local assessment (CDA or PA Special Education Paraeducator Credential)
• Able to complete the PA paraprofessional certification within 60 days, if not already certified
• Reliable transportation; general commuting distance within 30-35 minutes of Lehigh County schools

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to students with multiple and complex needs
• Assist with behavioral and functional challenges, including personal care when required (lifting, toileting, etc.)
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality for the school day schedule
• Collaborate with teachers and school teams for the best student outcomes
• Support positive classroom management, engagement, and safety for all students
