Overview The Project Engineer maintains and updates all project documents and processes. Makes routine scheduling and budgetary decisions for the completion of assigned projects under project supervision. Responsibilities Update the project progress log and submit internal request forms. Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones. Collaborate with project teams to monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues. Support in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and reports. Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Participate in on-site visits to assess project status and address any on-site challenges. Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships. Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes. Assist in the implementation of project management best practices and process improvements. Successfully runs 5 projects totaling $250,000 or more at a time. Qualifications Associate degree or 1-2 years of related experience. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite. Eagerness to learn and develop skills in project management within the construction industry. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
