Cashier

Purpose As a Cashier (Customer Service Associate), you are the first and final interaction point for Floor & Decor’s customers. Our Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent customer service through greeting customers, checking out customers, handling product returns, performing basic cash office functions, and providing an exceptional experience. Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available This role is available for both full‑time and part‑time candidates. Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and excite them about their purchase. Provide above‑and‑beyond customer service and exceed expectations. Demonstrate compliance with the company’s safety processes. Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core values. Process customers at checkout using the POS system. Process refunds and exchanges according to guidelines. Open and close registers. Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures. Answer the telephone according to company guidelines. Stock, tag, and display merchandise as required. Create price tags and merchandise signs. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Knowledge of basic math skills. Customer service experience. Potential travel to other stores for support. Working Conditions (Travel & Environment) While performing duties, you may be occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level is typically quiet to moderate. Physical/Sensory Requirements Medium work: ability to exert 20‑50 pounds occasionally, 10‑25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. Must stand, walk, reach, climb, or balance as required.
