Locums Cardiac Anesthesiology Marshfield, WI (any state license accepted) Why This Role

Assignment Details
• Start/end: Defined blocks - 9/29-10/2 (7a-5p), 10/3-10/4 (24-hr beeper call), 10/5-10/7 (7a-5p), 12/21-12/24 (7a-5p), 12/26-12/27 (24-hr beeper call), 12/28-12/31 (7a-5p); ongoing, 1-2 weeks/month
• Schedule: 7a-5p clinical days plus 24-hour beeper call blocks, 20-min response, 10-20% callback
• Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours + call, inpatient - cardiac anesthesia call coverage at Main Marshfield Hospital
• Volume: 5-8 patients/shift; 80% structural cases, 20% pump; 80% solo; 16 ORs
• Setting: Level 2 trauma; cardiac coverage primarily, with general anesthesia when no cardiac cases
• Support: CRNA supervision preferred
• EMR: Cerner
• Credentialing: 60 days; temp privileges available
Clinical Details
• Required scope: Open-heart anesthesia, general anesthesia (adult, trauma), spinal, epidural, regional, obstetrical, neurosurgical (head, spine), thoracic, complex vascular and orthopedic, post-op epidural and extremity blocks, vent management, acute volume/BP management, central/arterial/PA line placement; must cover general anesthesia cases when no cardiac cases are available
• TEE certification (basic or advanced) required, with 30-40 TEEs completed in the past year; experienced in arterial and central line placement and regional blocks
• Cardiac trained; fellowship a bonus

• TEE certification and 30-40 TEEs in the past year required
• License: any state accepted
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Active DEA
