Job Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - Applied AI , you will act as the primary technical driver for customers' strategic AI initiatives. You will transform conversational AI prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions, leading the end-to-end development lifecycle of agentic AI applications. This role requires expertise in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, MLOps, and enterprise AI integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of Conversational AI and Agentic AI solutions, transforming prototypes into production-grade applications.
• Design and implement multi-agent systems, conversational workflows, and AI-powered customer experience (CX) solutions.
• Build integrations between AI platforms and enterprise environments, including APIs, legacy systems, data platforms, and security frameworks.
• Develop evaluation pipelines, observability frameworks, and monitoring solutions to optimize AI system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and optimize agent behavior, reasoning workflows, tool selection, latency, and overall system efficiency.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to automate cloud deployments and networking configurations.
• Partner with customer engineering teams to deliver AI solutions while driving best engineering practices and adoption.
• Identify recurring implementation patterns and contribute reusable frameworks, accelerators, and product improvement recommendations.

Required Skills

• experience in software development experience using Python or similar programming languages.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Expertise in designing and deploying AI/ML applications in production environments.
• Experience building full-stack applications integrated with enterprise systems and customer-facing platforms.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, networking, security, and system integrations.
• Experience with MLOps, monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.

Preferred Qualification

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience with multi-agent frameworks, including ReAct , self-reflection, and agent orchestration patterns.
• Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and enterprise knowledge base integrations.
• Experience debugging AI agents, optimizing tool selection, and tracing distributed workflows across microservices.
• Proven track record of supporting and troubleshooting high-volume, customer-facing production systems.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$88,544 to $207,401

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
