Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care and operating within a fast-paced environment that focuses on cardiac procedures.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Shift Hours: 0630 - 1500
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Unit Information

The Cardiac Cath Lab is equipped with four catheterization labs, typically operating three rooms simultaneously. The team also performs a variety of electrophysiology (EP) cases including ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations for conditions such as atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, and atrial fibrillation. Additionally, peripheral and neuro cases are included within our scope of service.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and monitor cases effectively as part of a collaborative team, which includes a circulating RN, scrub tech, and monitor technician for each case.
• Utilize the GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System for patient monitoring.
• Participate in the preparation and execution of cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization procedures.
• Engage in orientation and training for a smooth transition to independent case responsibility.
• Required to participate in on-call rotations approximately 10-11 days per month, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical environment.
• Current Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Demonstrated ability to circulate cases independently.

Location Information

This position will primarily be based in Bryan, TX, with potential responsibilities at multiple locations within the region.
