Description Associate Attorney – General Liability & Product Liability Location: Los Angeles or Irvine, CA Schedule: Hybrid Experience: 3+ Years Practice Areas: General Liability / Product Liability / Civil Litigation Position Overview A nationally recognized litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability and Product Liability practice in its Los Angeles or Irvine office. This opportunity is ideal for a California-licensed attorney with at least 3 years of defense litigation experience who is comfortable independently managing cases, taking depositions, handling discovery and motion practice, and supporting matters through trial. The attorney will work on sophisticated matters for both regional and national clients throughout California and will have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of cases. Key Responsibilities Independently manage a defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution Represent regional and national clients throughout California Handle general liability and product liability matters Conduct plaintiff, fact witness, and expert depositions Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trial Draft and respond to written discovery Review and analyze complex discovery requests and case materials Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents Conduct legal research and develop case strategy Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings as appropriate Assist with all aspects of trial preparation and trial support Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal case teams Maintain accurate and timely billing and case records Requirements Qualifications Required: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school Active license and good standing with the State Bar of California Minimum 3 years of litigation experience Defense experience in General Liability and/or Product Liability Demonstrated experience with depositions and motion practice Experience taking the lead in plaintiff and expert depositions Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to effectively manage multiple matters simultaneously Ideal Background Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are especially relevant: General Liability Defense Product Liability Premises Liability Personal Injury Defense Complex Civil Litigation Toxic Tort Commercial Litigation Insurance Defense Benefits Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $130,000 The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) retirement plan through Voya Unlimited PTO Cell phone stipend Technology reimbursement/support Fitness reimbursement Professional liability coverage Identity protection benefits Medical, dental, life insurance, and other eligible benefits effective on day one Vision coverage effective after 30 days #J-18808-Ljbffr Brown White & Osborn LLP
