Sourcing Manager

SP Industries Inc.is hiring for our team in Pocomoke City, MD and has an immediate opening for aSourcing Manager!

TheSourcing Manageris responsible for creating strategic sourcing solutions for theConsumables Labware Products Business. This will involve selecting best cost / strategic sources of supply for our purchased components, semi-finished components, finished products and raw materials. They will negotiate supply agreements, in conjunction with plant leadership team.

To ensure adherence to the negotiated agreements, the Sourcing Manager will coordinate with the site supply chain leader to setup the appropriate ERP requirements. Finally, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will manage their supply base’s performance against the agreed terms, but also their delivery and quality performance. This position may also periodically be responsible for assisting in general responsibilities in the tactical purchasing department.

This will be a hybrid role with 3-4 days onsite in Pocomoke City, MD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supplier evaluation and selection, including negotiating the terms and conditions of our business.

• Sourcing new vendors by category and reviewing with management

• Supplier management and auditing

• Annual cost reduction execution meeting annual goals

• Work with engineering to actively reduce SKUs / complexity in support of best cost solutions

• Autonomous decision making within approval guidelines

• Assist site leadership in the development of process and policy

• Communication and integration with related functional areas.

• Assist with general responsibilities within the tactical purchasing department.

• Liaise with engineering to ensure appropriate standards are used in material requirements.

• Consistent and predictable attendance

• Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations

• Reports unsafe conditions and practices to management

• Immediately reports injuries to management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• BA or 10-15 years of relevant job experience

• 5+ years of purchasing or related materials experience.

• Track record of negotiating supply annual agreements.

• Excellent proactive communication & organization skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through.

• Best cost evaluation and analysis of supplier spend and consolidation ability.

• Good judgment in choosing from multiple options and courses of conduct.

• Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a dynamic environment.

• High degree of accuracy and detail.

• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

• Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a dynamic environment.

• MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and some Access is preferred

Salary range : $105,000 - $120,000.
