Fabricator Welder

Our brands include Balco, Greco Architectural Metal Products, and Smoke Guard.Company Wide ResponsibilitiesSupport and follow Balco, Inc.'s Quality PolicyFollow all applicable Procedures and Work InstructionsInitiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processesDemonstrate company valuesFollow all safety rules and regulations as directed by BalcoAny other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor or Executive ManagementJob ResponsibilitiesProficiently weld components according to specifications.Fabricate pieces, ensuring conformance with product specifications and blueprints.Set up and operate hand and power tools.Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no foreign matter.Verify that materials are supplied in proper quantities and proper lengths.Check materials to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained.Accurately document the inspection and rework of non-conforming or rejected material using the appropriate log.Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes.Perform Fabrication dutiesMaintain a clean work area.Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and Executive Management.Knowledge & SkillsKnowledge of fabrication and welding techniques and tools.Able to read and interpret prints.Knowledge of relative safety standards for welding and willingness to use protective clothing (Face Shields, Gloves Etc.)High level of attention to detail.Ability to read technical documentation and drawings including details and breakouts.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing.Experience2 or more years of experience as a welder, preferably in welding aluminum.Experience using power and hand tools.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Other RequirementsPhysical- This position operates in a manufacturing environment.
