Safety Consultant (Certified CIH)

HSE Contractors has an immediate opening for a site safety Consultant in Washington (Certified CIH). Requirements Possessing at least a 4‑year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Safety Engineering, Safety and Occupational Health, or Industrial Hygiene (IH) . CIH certified by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals / American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Should have 30 Hours OSHA, FIRST aid CPR. A minimum of 8 years of experience. Knowledgeable of current safety trends, industry practices. Attend the Safety Program Review Meeting and conduct the monthly Joint Safety Policy Meetings in accordance. Shall have full authorization to correct unsafe acts on the spot, including the authority to stop work to correct safety and health problems. Shall participate in the planning, preparation and execution of high‑risk activities including, but not limited to: High‑Risk Activity Responsibilities a. Development and approval of JHA. b. Review of equipment and materials. c. Employee training. d. Review of JHA with employees. e. Observing and reporting on activities. May act as the qualified person for supervising erection and accepting final configuration and perform daily checks of fall protection, excavation, and scaffolding systems in accordance with the regulatory standards. Inspect the site with a government representative listing noted deficiencies, their abatement dates, and follow up action.
