Health & Benefits Sales Professional

Description We are seeking a talented Sales Professional to join our Health and Benefits Sales team at Mercer. This hybrid role can be based in San Francisco, Irvine, Los Angeles or Las Vegas and requires working at least three days a week in the office. As a Health & Benefits Sales Professional , you will leverage Mercer’s expertise to develop innovative sales strategies that address critical challenges in employee benefits, healthcare, financial security, and career development for employers and their employees. Responsibilities Execute sales goals by maintaining a large book of complex or high‑yield accounts through frequent presentations, calls, and meetings. Apply market and internal service insights to engage potential clients during cold calls, generating interest and scheduling meetings. Create sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that effectively address complex prospect needs and communicate the business value of internal services and offerings. Lead complex account processes from identification to closing, including pricing negotiations and product discussions, securing a beneficial financial outcome. Conduct research and analysis of relevant markets and industries to identify relationship opportunities, target new accounts, and expand existing ones. Interface frequently with potential or existing account representatives and stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction and uphold promises. Maintain professional account relationships to introduce and sell new products, facilitate deeper market penetration, and explore cross‑sell opportunities. Participate in professional and industry organizations, attend conferences and events to expand your network, represent the company, and gain insights. Requirements BA/BS degree. Strong track record of achieving sales goals. Experience selling to companies in the 1,000–5,000 employee benefit space. Experiential knowledge of the Employee Benefits or Health and Benefits consulting industry and products. Strong network and ability to access C‑suite level executives. The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,000 to $194,500. The base pay will be determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives and a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings, retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
