Description:

Utilizes appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper function before any patient study. Injects patients with radioactive material as per physician's orders, following prescribed protocols. Observes all documentation policies by filling in appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents. Reports equipment problems in accordance with regulatory requirements. Conducts quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follows radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for interpretation. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receives radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verifies receipt according to policy. Verifies activity levels of doses prior to administration. Performs CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patients' needs before, during, and after visits.
