Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele
Berlin, Vermont, United States
Start date: 07/30/2026. Duration: 4 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,021–$2,195 per week. Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 nights per week. Setting: travel assignment on a Med-Surg with Telemetry unit in a 122-bed acute care facility.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside RN care on the Med-Surg with Telemetry unit; monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond to changes per unit protocol.
- Perform NG tube insertion, peripheral IV placement, and manage telemetry equipment; administer medications via Pyxis and IV therapies.
- Care for postoperative patients (orthopedics, urology, GI) and medical conditions (COPD, CHF, diabetes); support end-of-life and placement needs; communicate with families and the care team.
- Document all patient care in the electronic medical record; operate monitoring equipment (Mindray monitors) and pumps (Sigma IV, PCA); manage bed systems and respond to nurse calls.
- Collaborate with RNs, LPNs/LNAs, unit clerks, and charge nurses to deliver coordinated patient care and maintain safety and comfort.

Requirements
- Current, active RN license valid in Vermont
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start; BLS and ACLS required; Telemetry certification preferred
- 5 years med-surg telemetry experience or 3 years tele experience
- Travel experience required; 2 prior travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR prior experience at a UVM Health Network acute care facility
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- Must be able to begin within the next week and have reliable transportation to report to the unit
