Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

This role involves providing emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, performing scheduled maintenance service, and repairs on production equipment and machines. You will prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs, utilizing sound mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency repairs and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment during production.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance services and repairs on production machinery.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Utilize mechanical skills for troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to execute required maintenance.
• Document tasks performed on work orders, PMs, and work logs as required.
• Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
• Collaborate with maintenance mechanics for repairs and skill development.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• At least 6 months of experience in a production environment, auto body shop, or other maintenance experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical school training preferred but not required.
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus but not required.

Work Environment

You will work in a large manufacturing facility specializing in food production, employing approximately 150 people. You must wear steel-toed boots while working. The role requires you to work throughout the entire facility wherever production equipment is located, during the 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

The pay range for this position is $23.70 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Baltimore,MD.
