Medical Office Associate I, Per diem, Days – AMG Family & Specialty – Jackson, Marlboro, Manalapan or Freehold Manalapan, NJ, United States Job Description Medical Office Associate (Front Desk Receptionist) – PER DIEM Primary care for multiple locations – Jackson, Marlboro, Manalapan or Freehold. Responsible for providing day-to-day support operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service to patients. The medical office associate manages both the front and back of the office, including billing support, scheduling, coding, patient communication, and filing. Responsibilities Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments. Schedule and coordinate appointments. Accurately update and maintain patients' health records. Verify insurance coverage and assist the billing department with processing claims. Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or nursing professionals. Contact patients regarding appointments and answer billing questions. Assist patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues. Perform other related duties as assigned. Work with highest confidentiality and abide HIPAA compliance. Qualifications Internal Candidates – Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Internal Candidates – Preferred: Associate's degree in Medical Office Management, Business, or related field. 3+ years of experience in a medical office environment or relevant area. 2+ years of administrative experience.
