Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in a general medical and surgical floor setting. Located in a facility that provides care for post-operative patients requiring overnight stays, including surgeries such as prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, and thyroidectomy. The role involves managing patient care and possibly floating within the same discipline across local campuses.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: With over 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing, candidates must possess an active Iowa nursing license or a license from a compact state, current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred), NIHSS certification, a valid drivers license, and a supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
• Preferred Qualifications: First-time travelers are acceptable, and experience in a Level 3 Trauma Center is advantageous
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• State Licenses: Iowa or a compact license required
• Additional Information: The unit handles patients undergoing surgeries such as prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, and thyroidectomy. The role involves administering heparin drips and providing care for post-op patients requiring overnight stays.
