Senior Automation Tester (SDET)

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Automation Tester (SDET) in Jersey City, NJ. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing solutions throughout the software development lifecycle
- Create automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing scenarios
- Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and ensure software quality objectives are met
- Support continuous testing initiatives by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and technical documentation
- Identify testing dependencies, environmental requirements, and potential quality risks
- Participate in application development activities, including unit testing and code reviews
- Troubleshoot defects, support root-cause analysis, and recommend quality improvements
- Follow established development, testing, risk management, and governance standards
- Contribute to process improvements, testing best practices, and overall delivery excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation
- Hands-on experience with automated unit, integration, and API testing
- Strong experience with Java-based test automation and modern testing frameworks
- Experience with web application, front-end, and back-end testing methodologies
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
- Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
- Experience within financial services or other regulated industries is a plus
