Merchandiser/Cashier

Compensation & Pay Range: $16.50 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual and quarterly performance premiums, which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed and may stack if criteria are met. Responsibilities Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to parts specialists. Check out customers, process returns, and handle cash, checks, and credit cards efficiently. Act as the main shoplifting deterrent and front‑floor security. Keep the front area stocked, fronted, and presentable; perform merchandise display and price changes according to planograms and company guidelines. Maintain sale signage, stock sale merchandise, and remove sale material at the end of promotions. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and over‑stock returns. Complete store To‑Do List items, team weekly tasks, and O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities. Clock in and out according to company policy. Operate as a cashier on the front floor as needed. Qualifications Good aptitude for handling number sequences. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Good organizational skills. Previous cashier and/or stocking experience preferred. Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish highly desired. Previous experience in a retail or automotive environment highly desired.
