Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. M&T is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, datacenter, life sciences, and electric vehicle markets. Job Summary:

In this role you will perform complex structural engineering tasks to produce design and estimates for projects within the Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit. You will develop, evaluate, or modify design, drawings, specifications and requisitions for foundations, concrete and structural steel superstructure and associated components and and other structural works under the supervision of a senior Engineer or Engineering Group Supervisor.#LI-ME1

Major Responsibilities:

• Participates in the design, development and modification of Structural components andprocesses utilizingrelevant Engineering Department Procedures(EDPs), design standards and guides and BechtelStandard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Designs structures using knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering
• Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements
• Originates and checks structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions
• Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions
• Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques and/or difficult coordination requirements
• Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs for proposals, forecasts, and change orders
• Completes Civil/Structural documentation and procedures for installationand maintenance
• Provides assistance toproject and constructionmanagement in identifying and complying withproject Civil/Structural requirements and in addressingissues as they arise during project execution

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Career-level position within field
• Considered skilled and proficient in discipline
• Professional with an understanding of area of specialization, resolves a wide range of issues
