About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9 hours (06:30 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required, 3 years preferred License: Required Certifications: - ARDMS - RDMS - OB required - BLS required - ARRT, RDCS preferred Must-Have: - ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire. - If not ARDMS (OB/GYN) registered at time of hire, registration is required within twelve months of hire, with the first attempt to pass the OB/GYN registry within six months of hire. - General ultrasound skills: OB/GYN, neonatal, and vascular skills are required. - Experience in adult, ER, ICU, NICU, pediatrics, high-risk OB, and portable work settings is required. Description: The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasounds on a diverse patient population. Experience with PACS, Phillips, and Trophon equipment is preferred. The average daily census is approximately 24 patients. The position includes rotating on-call responsibilities. Knowledge in various ultrasound procedures, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester assessments and Doppler studies, is essential. Skills in handling various patient age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, are crucial. This role does not require weekend coverage. The position supports a collaborative team environment with additional interdisciplinary support services. Strong communication and patient care skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates should exhibit adaptability and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
