Position Summary Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Provides guidance on store operations, technology, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts while ensuring clear expectations and business objectives are communicated to teams. Models exceptional customer service standards through the One Best Way service model and supports customer service initiatives such as community outreach and store of the community programs. Works to resolve customer complaints, develop corrective action plans, and lead process improvements to deliver a high‑quality experience. Drives financial performance and sales within the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Oversees inventory flow, merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, and operational processes. Implements shrink mitigation programs to achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Sets clear expectations, recognizes achievements, and promotes a culture of belonging. Ensures compliance with company policies and supports company mission, values, ethics, and the Open Door Policy. Collaborates with stakeholders, builds accountability, measures progress, and identifies improvement opportunities. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding operations, technology, and business initiatives. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the OBW service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach and complaint resolution. Evaluate and improve financial performance through PL review, budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Hire, train, mentor, recognize, and develop hourly associates while setting clear expectations. Promote a culture of belonging and diversity, creating a supportive workplace. Maintain compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and measure progress toward objectives. Identify and address improvement opportunities and demonstrate adaptability. Act with integrity, supporting Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company. Serve customers and members by putting the customer first and applying the EDLP and EDLC business models. Make decisions based on data, balancing short- and long-term priorities across stakeholders. Strive for continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and lead change initiatives. Qualifications Minimum: 2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or related field. Preferred: Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
