Dietary Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at BlueBonnet Rehab at Ennis. As a key member of our dietary department, you will assist with food preparation, serving, and cleaning to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cooks in setting up and covering desserts
• Make supplements for 10am, 2pm, and 7pm snacks
• Set up resident food trays
• Wrap silverware
• Help serve residents trays in the dining room
• Bus tables and trays
• Wipe off tables in the dining room
• Clean up of work areas after each meal
• Assist with dishwasher cleaning schedule, including initiating and dating
• Log food temperatures
• Stock storage room and refrigerated items
• Attend mandatory in-service meetings

Requirements:

• High School or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods required
• Experience in an institutional setting preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation in large quantities
• Knowledge of hazards of improper food handling
• Knowledge of use and care of food service equipment
• Ability to calibrate thermometer
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact in dealing with other staff, residents, and resident families
• Ability to read tray cards
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility in work schedule
