Dietary Aide
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at BlueBonnet Rehab at Ennis. As a key member of our dietary department, you will assist with food preparation, serving, and cleaning to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist cooks in setting up and covering desserts
- Make supplements for 10am, 2pm, and 7pm snacks
- Set up resident food trays
- Wrap silverware
- Help serve residents trays in the dining room
- Bus tables and trays
- Wipe off tables in the dining room
- Clean up of work areas after each meal
- Assist with dishwasher cleaning schedule, including initiating and dating
- Log food temperatures
- Stock storage room and refrigerated items
- Attend mandatory in-service meetings
Requirements:
- High School or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods required
- Experience in an institutional setting preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation in large quantities
- Knowledge of hazards of improper food handling
- Knowledge of use and care of food service equipment
- Ability to calibrate thermometer
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Ability to exercise good judgment and tact in dealing with other staff, residents, and resident families
- Ability to read tray cards
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility in work schedule
