Structured Cabling Project Lead

Project Lead – Data Center Cabling Crew Project Lead is responsible for overseeing daily field operations for data center cabling installations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role provides leadership to cabling technicians, coordinates project activities with customers and site management, tracks progress, manages materials and manpower, and serves as the primary field point of contact for the project team. The Project Lead promotes a culture of safety, productivity, and professionalism while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct daily activities of cabling technicians and subcontractors. Plan, coordinate, and prioritize installation activities to meet project schedules. Monitor quality of work and ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades to resolve field issues. Track labor, production, and project progress. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly utilized. Conduct jobsite meetings and provide daily updates to project management. Support and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements. Assist with project documentation, testing, labeling, closeout, and turnover activities. Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and technical knowledge. Qualifications: Experience leading low-voltage, structured cabling, or data center installation teams. Strong understanding of copper and fiber optic cabling systems. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of data center construction practices and customer standards. Proficiency with project documentation and reporting. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Reports To: Project Manager Direct Reports: Cabling Technicians, Lead Technicians, and assigned subcontractors (as applicable) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
