Warehouse Technician

AbbVie seeks a warehouse technician to manage receipt, storage, and shipment of raw materials and sensitive biological products at a manufacturing facility. The role involves materials handling, inventory management, compliance with GMP and safety regulations, and coordination across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, verification, labeling, palletization, and storage of materials, cells, and finished products
• Prepare packaging and shipping documentation for materials and products to suppliers, labs, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers
• Manage inventory control transactions in SAP and conduct physical inventory counts with accounting
• Coordinate destruction of obsolete, rejected, or expired materials and manage biomedical and hazardous waste disposal
• Conduct safety inspections, maintain compliance with cGMP/FDA regulations, and support training of new personnel

Requirements

• High school diploma plus two years warehouse experience in similar industry, or associate degree
• Forklift operation and inspection experience (gas, electric, or manual)
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, chemical/biological/medical device quality standards
• Understanding of hazardous materials handling, identification, and packaging (49 CFR, IATA)
• Basic GMP, OSHA, and safety regulations knowledge
• Basic math and computerized systems proficiency
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (-80°C to 30°C) and handle 20–45 lb loads
