About the Position

Job Title: RN CVICU-Peds Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU-Peds Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required. Description: Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience is required. Nurse to patient ratio by shift is 1:1, 1:2 for ICU status, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU in the overflow unit. The unit consists of 24 beds in the Pediatric cardiac ICU and a 12-bed overflow unit. Patient population includes those with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD. Age range for patients is from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult patients who have congenital heart disease.
