Individuals with experience as daycare/preschool workers, paraprofessionals, DSPs, nannies, babysitters, or anyone who loves working with kids. What Happens After I Apply? Recruiters will reach out for a 30‑minute virtual interview. Following that, you’ll be invited to an onsite interview at your local Bierman center to meet staff and future coworkers. You will also have the opportunity to shadow a current Behavior Technician. Your Daily Adventures as a Behavior Technician Conduct 1:1 therapy sessions with clients. Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans. Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session. Communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress (with BCBA guidance). Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials. Maintain and acquire functional and technical knowledge through required trainings. Follow BACB guidelines. Work towards becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), if not already certified. Foster a positive working environment. Basic & Essential Functions Lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds. Restrain, hold, transport, and use quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan. Maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending) for extended periods. Walk or run to chase clients while maintaining a three‑foot distance. Attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing. Demonstrate manual dexterity for data collection and documentation. Have visual acuity for reading and comprehending written communication. Transfer written data to electronic files or databases. Maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting or on the floor. Assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space and toys. Administer medication to clients. Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred). Valid fingerprint clearance card before employment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Detail oriented. Flexible and adaptable to meet team and client needs. Act with integrity and professionalism. Preferred Experience Experience working with children ages 2‑12 in a classroom, daycare, 1:1 setting, or instructional childcare setting.
