About the Role:
Marlboro Manufacturing Inc is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to lead our shipping operations in Alliance, OH. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within a dynamic manufacturing environment and make a real impact on our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily shipping and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Manage and coordinate shipping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and safety standards
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and inventory teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing output
- Track and manage shipment documentation, BOLs, packing lists, and freight invoices
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with freight carriers and third-party logistics providers
- Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a shipping, logistics, or distribution management role
- Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of freight shipping methods, carrier networks, and logistics software
- Experience managing a team in a fast-paced warehouse or shipping environment
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and shipping compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with shipping management systems, ERP software, or similar platforms
