As a Security Officer Site Patrol Duty in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, observe for loss prevention concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, and integrity, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment.

- Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor customer traffic and high-activity areas to help support order, assist with access-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
