Job Description As a Security Officer Area Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon‑Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report security‑related concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions needing attention. Monitor building activity and help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptions within the commercial real estate location. Document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance or life support concerns, and communicate relevant updates to property management and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Minimum Requirements: A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. Be 21+ years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
