Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Surgical Center in Temple, Texas, offering a flexible schedule of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients and review medical histories to assess their health needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, tailoring treatment plans to individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses, making adjustments as necessary to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Maintain organized and accurate medical records while adhering to regulatory compliance standards.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
• Support public health initiatives and promote wellness by guiding patients on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Participate in continuing education activities aimed at professional development and skill enhancement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant, you will primarily serve a diverse outpatient population, providing care for individuals with varying health needs. Your role will entail managing both routine and complex cases, with a focus on prevention, care coordination, and health promotion, ensuring that patients receive holistic and compassionate care tailored to their unique situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or an equivalent program.
• A valid Texas State Physician Assistant License and National Certification (PA-C).
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in a primary care or surgical environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient relationships and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, displaying patience and a calm demeanor during high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and other healthcare technologies to enhance patient management.
• Experience in surgical practices or specialties such as family health, cardiology, internal medicine, or urgent care.

Compensation and Benefits
