Position Overview

Family Prime Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physician Assistant to enhance our Primary Care outpatient services at our Surgical Center in Temple, Texas. In this role, you will play an essential part in diagnosing and treating a variety of health conditions while promoting wellness and preventive care to our patients. Work Environment

This position is onsite within our vibrant Surgical Center, where you will have the opportunity to work directly with a diverse patient population. Our practice operates Monday through Friday, providing 40-hour work weeks with shifts ending at 5:00 PM. This scheduling offers a balanced work-life integration, allowing you to enjoy all that Temple and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations, evaluating patients’ medical histories and conducting diagnostic tests like blood tests and imaging studies.
• Diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions, formulating and proposing personalized treatment plans that may include the prescription of medications.
• Provide patient education regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to foster better health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient schedules, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating continuity of care.
• Engage in health promotion initiatives, educating patients and their families about the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
• Work effectively alongside multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, collaborating with physicians, other medical professionals, and support staff to optimize patient care.
• Advance your professional knowledge through ongoing research, engaging in professional discourse, and participating in training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a valid California State Physician Assistant license.
• Active PA-C certification and DEA number are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in settings such as clinics, hospitals, or emergency rooms.
• Strong clinical background and expertise in primary care practices, including acute care, chronic care, and family health.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized experience in areas such as cardiology, internal medicine or urgent care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare management software.
• Bilingual capabilities are a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
