If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.Researches a variety of sources, analyzes, and initiates actions on tax issues obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and all required information for correction of accounts and records; verifies, analyzes and adjusts taxpayer accounts.Review return submitted by taxpayers for the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, American Opportunity Credit and other various credits. Identifies Statue returns for expedited processing.Secures pay of taxes and filing of returns. Determines financial, levy source, adjustment and uncollectible information; advises taxpayers of appeal procedures.
