Senior Accounting Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $60.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month end close activities, including reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Support budgeting processes and provide financial information for planning and reporting purposes.
• Assist with accounts payable coverage, special projects, and other accounting related initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Extensive accounting experience with strong knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger processes.
• Previous experience working with accounting systems and enterprise financial software platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Nonprofit or fund accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail with proven experience in reconciliations, problem solving, and error resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork across departments.
• Organized and adaptable work style with the ability to support changing priorities and deadlines.
