Laboratory Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor for its Burlington, NC facility to prepare, identify, and route biological specimens for analysis. The position operates on a night shift schedule (Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30pm-6:00am) and requires accurate handling and data entry in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
- Document and resolve problem specimens; store excess samples properly
- Meet department activity and production goals in fast-paced environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfort handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Preferred: 3+ months specimen processing experience
- Preferred: 3+ months medical or laboratory experience
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
