Job Overview We are seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to join our Grandview, TX team. The role involves working on turbine aircraft structures, reading blueprints, and performing sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting, sealing, and finishing. Responsibilities also include supervising crews, organizing manpower, and maintaining shop facilities. Key Responsibilities Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components. Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials. Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as needed. Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills. Communicate effectively in English (speak, write, read). Complete any additional duties assigned by supervisor or management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Airframe and Powerplant License preferred. Valid driver’s license endorsed for airline travel or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory). Prior experience working with sheet metal preferred. Additional Requirements Physical: lift 50 lbs., routine walking, bending, squatting, and standing; climb ladders and work in restricted areas. Mental: understand and implement regulations and guidelines, troubleshoot system operation, work professionally with others. Supervision: work under a Team Leader with occasional supervisory responsibilities. Working Conditions: hangar environment with extreme temperature variations; occasional outdoor aircraft runs; varied positions around the aircraft. Equipment: personal hand tools, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, jacks, stands, lifts, tugs, and power carts.
