ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts according to specifications.
- Load and run programs on Mazak laser machines while ensuring optimal machine performance.
- Utilize Radan nesting software to maximize material usage and minimize waste.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality throughout the production process.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production goals.
- 2+ years of experience operating Mazak laser cutting machines
- Proficiency in Radan nesting software or similary nesting/CAM software
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and laser gauges
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Technical certifications, or trade school training in CNC operation or laser cutting is a plus
