You will make deliveries and pick up inventory as needed.  DUTIES INCLUDEActive participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury free environmentParticipate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growthDrives commercial truck to deliver tires to customers as well as other East Bay Tire locationsPerforms initial vehicle inspection at the beginning of each shiftUnloads different types and sizes of tires at delivery siteCollects money from customers on COD accounts Records delivery information on pick ticketsInform regular customers of new tires available when questionedListens to and resolves service complaintsCollects or picks up rejected tires or unsold merchandiseIssues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or deliveryResponsible for routine vehicle presentation/cleanlinessWork on special projects and perform other tasks as needed Adherence to company and safety policies and procedures REQUIREMENTSMust have at least 2 years' experience working as a commercial or warehouse driver and have a valid Class B licenseExperience working in a warehouse as a technician or driver preferredExperience delivering parts or products to customers Experience working in the tire industry preferred but not requiredBilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.Must have a strong commitment to achieving goals with a teamwork mentalityMust have great communication/interpersonal skills Must be motivated with a good business sense and understandingMust have good decision-making/judgment skillsMust be extremely organized and detail-oriented.Must be a team player, with the initiative and ability to do what it takes to get the job done Computer skills with a variety of programs, including Excel, Outlook, and various other computer systemsMust have a class A or B valid driver's license and a clean driving recordMust be a self-starter, be willing to take initiative and be willing to work without direct supervisionMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds as required for the jobAbility to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work independently on tight deadlines with multiple priorities LOCATIONThis position will work out of our Fairfield location.  BENEFITSCompetitive Medical, Dental, Vision, ADD, Life, FSA and DCAP Benefit OptionsGenerous 401k with Company MatchPaid HolidaysVacation and Sick LeaveAnnual Employee Christmas Trees, Tax Services, Tailgate and Tickets to events, Employee birthdays, mingles and lunchesYou'll have the opportunity to work with great people and make a real impact – while being your unique, authentic, self at work.PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:Work in an environment where there can be medium to loud noiseRoutinely use computer equipment, including monitors, keyboards, etc. Frequently sit and stand to perform work, visit locations, load and unload trucks, use hand trucks, lift tires and parts, pack boxes, or put materials togetherAdherence to safety protocols and policies while using proper PPE is a mustAbility to lift to 50 poundsWork flexible/varying schedule to support the team, customers, and deadlines ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONApplicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. and physically be in the U.S. East Bay Tire is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, gender, age, color, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected factor.
