Work Environment

The physical therapist will primarily work onsite, engaging directly with patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. The facility boasts an open layout designed to foster interaction among healthcare professionals, promoting a cohesive team approach to patient care. You will be joining a team of two fellow physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who share a commitment to excellence and patient-centered service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate individual patient needs to identify goals and develop customized treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one sessions, seeing approximately 2-3 patients per hour, focusing on orthopedic outpatient care.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions aimed at enhancing motion and mobility.
• Educate patients on alternative treatment options to reduce reliance on medications and surgery.
• Design fitness and wellness programs tailored to patients' specific rehabilitation needs.
• Motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they achieve optimal functional outcomes.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, such as WebPT, for documenting patient care services accurately.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, communicating updates and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case management and share best practices in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries who require rehabilitative care to regain mobility and functionality. You will be instrumental in facilitating their recovery through personalized treatment modalities while promoting a healthy lifestyle that emphasizes strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A current Virginia Physical Therapist License, with no disciplinary actions present.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and exercise prescription knowledge.
• Experience using EMR systems such as WebPT for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous orthopedic outpatient physical therapy experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage patients effectively.
• Experience in creating and implementing fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This dynamic role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
