We are urgently seeking a committed and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic orthopedic outpatient practice at Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic in Danville, Virginia. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in guiding patients towards recovery, enhancing their mobility and overall functionality. Your expertise will be pivotal in the promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation of patients, all aimed at improving their quality of life.

Work Environment

This role is located onsite within our specialized rehabilitation center. You will collaborate closely with a skilled team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care. The clinic operates in a supportive, collaborative, and well-equipped environment, fostering professional growth and development. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address the individual goals and needs of patients to create customized treatment plans.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring high-quality, personalized care.
• Utilize your previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care to provide effective rehabilitation strategies.
• Deliver cost-effective treatments focused on enhancing patients' mobility and functional abilities while minimizing reliance on medications and exploring non-surgical alternatives.
• Develop and implement a variety of care plans using diverse treatment techniques tailored to each patient's requirements.
• Design custom fitness and wellness programs aimed at promoting recovery and enhancing overall health.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment to optimize their functional outcomes and lifestyle.
• Enhance patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination to promote healthier living.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor patient progress, and maintain clear, ongoing communication with all stakeholders.
• Document patient care services accurately to ensure continuity and efficiency of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic largely comprises individuals with private medical insurance, reflecting a diverse range of orthopedic conditions. You will engage with patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or seeking preventive care, all within a supportive and highly professional atmosphere. Our clinic emphasizes a holistic approach to recovery, ensuring that each patient's experiences and needs are prioritized.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Danville, VA, with no prior board or disciplinary actions against it.
• Exhibit strong manual therapy skills with a focus on orthopedic practices.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, and demonstrate a capability for efficient documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting will be highly regarded, specifically in developing patient-centered care plans.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
