Sheetmetal pros work apprentices with minimal direct supervision, as they install various HVAC and ventilation-related components. At Comfort Systems USA Shoffner, skilled Journeyperson can grow as far as their talents will take them. Safety is our #1 priority.* Understand blueprints and drawings.* Lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.* Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.* Properly finish and seal duct work to pass testing.* Help train apprentices.* Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.* Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.**Experience:*** 4+ years of Sheet Metal installation experience.* Ability to show required schooling and hours worked to be a Journeyman.* A High School diploma or GED is required.**You need to be able to;*** Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.* Be punctual and reliable.* Work as a team.* Work in extremes of heat, cold, bad weather, indoors and outdoors.* Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry max of 60 lbs.* Willing to be cross trained in different trades.* Work well in confined spaces.* Work above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.* Exercise motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.**Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is the region's leader in HVACR, Electrical, and Plumbing services.
