Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care on a 32-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7, serving a primarily surgical and medical-surgical patient population
• Manage patients with advanced pulmonary conditions such as pneumonia and COPD, including those requiring tracheostomy care, BiPAP, and CPAP support
• Administer IV drips and infusions, operate IV pumps, and perform phlebotomy and venipuncture, including starting IVs
• Monitor patients via telemetry (remote) and support respiratory weaning from oxygen, including nebulizer-to-inhaler transitions
• Assist with patient transports and support ICU transfers as needed
• Float to like units within scope of competencies based on facility needs

• Active New York State RN license (candidates without NYS license at time of submission may be screened to manager)
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required ; may be obtained prior to start date
• Nursys verification within the past 6 months required
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical or Telemetry specialty experience (minimum 2 years required for auto-offer consideration)
• Must adhere to facility scheduling; no self-scheduling or block scheduling

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP, and advanced pulmonary patient populations
